Tyres

Where the Rubber meets the Road

Whenever you bring your vehicle in for an inspection or a service, we will inspect the conditions of your tyres and report our findings to you.

If your tyre has a puncture, we can inspect it and see if it can be repaired. If it can be repaired, we can help you with that.

Most punctures that are small and located on the treads can be repaired, otherwise, a replacement would be recommended.

Punctures cannot be repaired if it is greater than 6mm in diameter, or it is located on the:

  • Sidewalls of the tyre
  • Shoulders of the tyre

If your tyres are in need of replacement, we can help with that too.

Generally, we would recommend and advise you to replace the tyres if the tread depth is less than 1.5mm.

The tyres on a car may wear unevenly from use. For example, Front-wheel drive vehicles may wear out the front tyres more than the rear tyres.

In such cases, we would recommend Rotating & Balancing the Wheels, which is where we swap the front and rear wheels around such that the wearing evens out, thereby extending the life of the tyres.

Similarly, if the wheels of a vehicle is not aligned correctly, it may cause irregular wearing on the tyres. We can correct this by Adjusting the Wheel Alignment.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
